Hindu Screen Names: Most of our leading film actresses make tall claim of patriotism but they hardly prove it in practical life. For instance ,they have no time to spare for PTV but they manage to take out time from their "ever pressing engagements" for Indian television ,even if it's for a commercial .Some of them don't hesitate to travel all the way to New York to sing controversial songs for Indian networks.
Except for saima,all the other top heroines have hindu screen names not realizing its repercussion. Contrary to this, a hindu actress - Jharna adopted the screen names of Shabnam and ruled millions of hearts for over 25 years. Thousand odf illiterate stars fan have named their daughters after their favourite actresses as, Meera ,Reema, Resham,Nirma,Karishma,Kanwal,Sangeeta,Kiran etc. The most interesting part is that the actresses themselves do not know the meaning of their own names.

Nirma Aunty : Whatever you do ,never call Nirma "aunty" or else she i'll turn the other cheek sooner than you can bat your eyelids!

Te valuable lesson was learnt the hard way by a group of Nirma's fans who recently visited her n the sets of an under production movie. Spilling the juicy details , our mole told about the visitors among whom were the parents of an adorable little girl who wanted to have her picture taken the glamorous star.And when the tome came for snap , it was Nirma 's temper which did the snapping on hearing  the girl's parents tell their daughter to stand with Nirma "Aunty" for the pictures. All huffed  up ,Nirma stomped out of the studios in a fit of rage , leaving everyone baffled.

Noor Wants To Mary Hrithik: Rising star Noor, who started her acting career as a child star and become a heroine in her very first movie  Jan Jan Pakistan, wants to marry Indian superstar Hrithik Roshan who has become the craze  of young women.But there's a condition - he has to  become a Muslim first. Does Hrithik got a say on the subject ?

Unlike the Indian , her first picture couldn't break any ice, yet she got a dozen new assignment but they were all for side roles including  No Paisa No Problem ,which was released last month.Noor says she is eighteen years of age and wishes to remain on the big screen at least for ten years. At present she is in Spain on location  shooting of director  Javaid Sheikh under -production film Ye Dil Aapka Huwa.
     Sara in real life , Noor has denied reports about her and Shan being too chummy, saying that he was just a good friend. He father Shiraz's long association with filmdom has helped her in getting an easy entry in showbiz.

Ten Years Of Shan: Shan completes ten years of his acting career this month.His first film Bulandi was released on September 21,1990.Since than he had worked in 88 films, his last being Sultana Daku .Of all the stars  children, Shan has proved to be the most successful, then the rest including Sultan Rahi's son,Haider Sultan and  Waheed Murad's Son Adil Murad. Shan unlike the rest of his filmi clan, stresses  the need to do homework in filmmaking, but the himself has no time because he remains so very busy in his shooting schedules.
in most countries including Hollywood and bollywood, good actors don't work in 88 pictures their while life. Take the example of Marlon Brando and Dilip Kumar who have been working for more than 50 years but have done less than 60 movies because they prefer quality over quantity .It hard to believe but it is a fact that as many as 13 shan starrers were released during the first half of 2000.

Gul speaks Out : Ajab Gul supports co-production with India, saying that it will be beneficial for Pakistan." We can play cricket, Hockey with them. What is wrong with exchanging and co-producing films", he argues Kaho Ho Tum Kahan , a film which ahs been directed by actor Ajab Gul , is schedule to be released soon.
